Lisa L. Chioffi, CFA

Prior to joining Penobscot, Ms. Chioffi was a Portfolio Manager with Massachusetts Investment Counsellors, Inc. of Boston, an advisory firm specializing in trust and estate management. She has over fifteen years of investment experience, primarily focused in equity research and portfolio management. Ms. Chioffi has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. The CFA charter is the only globally recognized credential for professional investment analysis and management. Ms. Chioffi holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont. She currently serves as a Vice President on the Alumni Council of Phillips Andover Academy and on the Finance Committee for The Food Project of Lincoln, MA. She is a member of the Boston Economic Club, Boston Security Analysts Society, and CFA Institute.

Eugene H. Clapp

Mr. Clapp formed Penobscot with Mr. Hart in 1988. Previous business experience includes financial and general management positions with Pfizer, Inc. in Boston and New York. Mr. Clapp is a Corporation Member of Partners HealthCare System, Inc. and a Trustee of Partners Continuing Care, Inc. He is also a Director and the Treasurer of the Conservation Law Foundation of New England, Inc., and Director of the National Rowing Foundation. Mr. Clapp’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He is a member of The Boston Security Analysts Society.

Daniel B. Ford III

Prior to joining Penobscot, Mr. Ford was a portfolio manager with Rock Harbor Management, a company he founded in 2000. Before Rock Harbor Management, Mr. Ford worked in media, producing and directing corporate videos as well as freelancing on several documentaries in Europe and Russia. He has served on several civic and charitable boards including the Town of Orleans, MA Finance Committee and the Grenville Education Foundation. Currently, he is a member of The Boston Security Analysts Society and he coaches in the Boston Area Youth Soccer League. Mr. Ford is a graduate of Yale University where he majored in history.

Douglas E. Hart

Prior to forming Penobscot with Mr. Clapp, Mr. Hart was a Principal and Portfolio Manager with Marsh & Cunningham, Inc., an investment management firm in Boston. Before joining Marsh & Cunningham, Inc. he was with Kidder Peabody & Co. He is an Honorary Trustee of Plimoth Plantation. In addition, he is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Emma Willard School in Troy, New York and a Director and President of The Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts. He also serves on the presidential scientific advisory committee for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Mr. Hart graduated from the Boston University School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Hart is a member of the Boston Economic Club.

Charles F. Kane, Jr.

Prior to joining Penobscot, Mr. Kane spent 33 years in the securities industry managing client portfolios; as a Vice President of Kidder Peabody & Co., a First Vice President of Tucker Anthony, Inc., and most recently at Merrill Lynch where he was a partner of the Loring Gifford Kane Group. In addition to his role advising individual investors, Mr. Kane currently serves on the investment committees of Northfield Mount Hermon School and the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society. He was the former chair of the investment committee for the Trustees of Reservations. He is currently a director of the Buchanan Family Foundation of Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Kane graduated from Babson College with a degree in finance administration.

Jonathan R. Phillips

Prior to joining Penobscot, Mr. Phillips spent 25 years with Fiduciary Trust Company in Boston, where he was a Vice President and, for 13 years, a member of its Board of Directors. While at Fiduciary, Mr. Phillips had investment and administrative responsibilities for individual accounts as well as charitable and multi-generational trust portfolios. He has extensive experience working with estate planning attorneys throughout New England. Mr. Phillips has served on numerous civic and charitable boards and is past President of the Rotch Traveling Scholarship, the oldest and most prestigious scholarship for young architects in the United States. Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and is a graduate of the National Trust School. He served for 14 months in the infantry in Vietnam, during which time he was awarded the Bronze Star for Heroism, the Purple Heart, and the Air Medal.
